an underground street legend credited as a pioneer for mixing the disciplines of graffiti, hip-hop, sculpture, performance art, & painting

as a character he was charismatic but far-out

& so were his projects

because of his strange ways, he remained mostly on the fringe of the scene that was dominated by his friends & peers

he invented terms, mixed teachings from opposite sides of the world, mashed-up ancient + futuristic aesthetics, & found use of the most trivial objects laying around

he passed in 2010 & his legacy was cemented

he pushed envelope, made hip-hop more avant garde & paved the pathway for artists who refused to have their art confined to a single medium

during his life he worked with supreme on multiple occasions including their earliest days

together they produced skateboard decks, hand-painted backpacks, trucker hats & video content

(in 2020) a decade following his passing, they produced a whole capsule featuring his art on bags, sweatsuits, graphic tees & more
