oh man this chrome here is historical

released in 2018 at art basel miami

up to this point, mattyboy contributed his illustrative touch to the brand for a few projects… but this was where they kinda began to dial it in with the series

the mustard “call me” items arrived alongside the bright red chomper/checkered flags designs

it seems like it set the rhythm for what would come the following several seasons…

each subsequent few months a dedicated new “slogan” + “illustration” blasted on a vibrant new color

the collection would include tops & bottoms: sweatshirts, crewnecks, sweatpants, tees all featuring the same artwork

rinse & repeat next season. never do the same thing twice.

now as of 2025 they’ve officially parted ways as matt embraces the world as a free agent, lending his talents to friends he’s made along the way

who knows if chrome & him will ever work again?
